Looking into his current collar will not require it to disconnect from Accelerator. Mechanima will let him know he just needs to be able to touch it himself, and doesn't need to remove it from his neck either. It may, for a few brief moments, shut down while he examines it, but it won't be long enough to truly negatively affect Accelerator. And Mechanima promises too to keep him up himself during the process, since he wouldn't want Chaos Gate's new assistant to get worn down just before he sends him off to her.
He lets Accelerator know that he's aware it will take time to gauge how she is, especially given who she is, but he's willing to accept that. This is more of a long-term solution, not something he anticipates relying on any time soon.
After Mechanima is given the chance to observe Accelerator's device, he will let him know that it will take approximately five days for him to complete the new supercomputer; once it's done, he will have his own assistant reach out to Accelerator to come and pick it up. In the meantime, Chaos Gate is currently in building and Mechanima can walk Accelerator over for an introduction.
